NH ASTA needs volunteers
Picture this--you're a busy string teacher, pulled in a multitude of
directions. You have students, gigs, maybe a life. But you still find
the time to communicate with colleagues, attend NHASTA events, send
students to Stringfest. And you think, "This can be better " or,"I'd
help out if someone would just ask me."
If you see yourself in this picture, you have what it takes. You could be the next president of NH ASTA.
The duties of this office are not overwhelming. The president-elect
is asked to attend board meetings (Sept, November, April and June) and
learn the duties of the chapter president, then assume the post of
president (a two year post) with lots of help. There is no requirement
to have school program experience. The American String Teachers
Association supports all types of string teaching, from Suzuki to
university level, with alternative styles in between. The more variety
we have on the board, the more people we can reach. And you get to go
to national and local workshops for free!
If you would like to fill this void, let us know through the contact page.
Put yourself in the picture.
